About the Program
The Flagstar MortgageTech Accelerator Program is focused on FinTech companies innovating in the mortgage industry (mortgage tech).
The program is open to startup applicants from across the United States and will take place at Detroit FinTech Bay, for a duration of three months. Remote/online participation will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Application intake opens on February 12 and closes on March 12. Qualifying applicants will be announced by March 20.

The Flagstar MortgageTech Accelerator Program delivers strategic guidance to late stage mortgage technology startups to accelerate product market readiness through one-on-one access to top industry veterans and unique product testing opportunities for the purposes of evaluating the viability of future investment and/or partnership.
The objectives of the Flagstar MortgageTech Accelerator Program is to partner with late stage startups in four ways:
Provide mentorship to help develop and fine tune the product functionality, value proposition, business plan and governance
Offer access to unique product testing opportunities within a large and established customer base
Screening and review by key Flagstar executives and decision-makers for potential investment or partnership opportunities upon successful completion of the program
Drive innovation thinking and new ways of solving problems and creating business opportunities through technology at Flagstar
Application process opens
A bespoke acceleration roadmap will be designed for each startup, based on where they are in their product development and stage of growth. This will include:

Business Development & Customer Acquisition
Management & Governance

Access to mentors with deep industry and technical experience
Bespoke program design based on current and immediate needs
Ability to test product/solution in a real-world controlled environment
Access to workspace during the program
Access to capital for qualifying startups who complete the program
Access to a wide network of potential customers and investors
Program graduates may also be offered a one-month residency at Silicon FinTech Bay to meet Silicon Valley institutions and investors
A MortgageTech product/solution that is at minimum at the developed prototype or early proof of concept
Innovative technology with a clear product development and execution roadmap
Robust business plan and pitch deck
Strong founder(s) and management team with a balance of technical and business experience
Ability to relocate to Detroit, Michigan for the duration of the program. Remote/online participation will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Some selective travel to Detroit may be required.
